Emotional Regulation and Interpersonal Skills: Teen Group

This group will offer a supportive, validating environment for teens struggling with issues such as poor peer choices, negative family relationships, risky behaviors, poor school attendance and academic underachievement. Through a group process that explores ways to manage strong emotions and impulses the teens will provide each other with support and encouragement to grow and learn about themselves. This group will utilize mindfulness techniques and encourage growth in interpersonal social skills. Group activities will also encourage ways to tolerate uncomfortable feelings and situations with healthy coping strategies.
