I am going to embark on an experiment this week. I encourage you to join me. This week I am not going to roll over in the morning and check my email before my eyes have focused. That is my routine; I wake up, I check my phone, and I let it dictate not only my next move, but my mood, too! I was talking to my husband about how I feel like I am always reacting, versus mindfully making a plan to accomplish my goals. It is amazing how much I allow that first rush of emails to control my actions and emotions. Turns out, I’m not the only one. For just this week I will get up, get ready for work, take time to plan what needs to be done and THEN check my email. It may not be feasible in the long term, but I think it’s worth a try. Will you join me? I would love your feedback.
