Slow Down- You Move Too Fast

It’s that time of year where endings and beginnings criss-cross—we’re saying goodbye to the academic year and hello to summer. June means shifting out of homework, soccer practice, piano lesson, tutoring mode into hunting down enough engaging activities to fill your kids’ summer schedule.

Many of us started thinking about summer camp plans back in March, and were planning family vacations well before the trees sprouted green leaves again. By the time Memorial Day hits we’re off and running.

Consider spending some summer weekends without a plan except for serving up big fat watermelon slices and fitting a sprinkler onto the end of the garden hose. Instead of everyone in the household gravitating to their screens after dinner, invite the gang to sit outside and dive into a delicious book.

To inspire you, we’re including a list of summer past times that don’t involve technology, a lot of advanced planning, or cash. Happy
