Sybille Swanson, MS, Ed.D

Sybille earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of East London and her post-Master’s Degree from City University in London, England.  She is an associate fellow with the British Psychological Society and currently a doctoral candidate in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University.  Sybille provided assessments and therapeutic interventions as a counseling psychologist for the National Health Service in the U.K. for 8 years.  She currently splits her time between Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. where she performs psychological assessments, and In Step where she co-facilitates groups and provides individual and family counseling. Her specialties include helping children, adults, and families cope with learning disabilities, social skills concerns and developmental delays.  She draws from a variety of therapeutic methods that produce a unique and personal approach that resonates with an individual.  Her goal is to help clients become more independent through confidence building and strategizing alternative ways of interacting and coping.  Leading clients toward a mutually established accomplishment or goal is a hallmark of her practice.
