Teen Group Therapy; A Parent’s Guide
Is your teen struggling with the dynamics of school and the many demands socially and academically school can impose?
Do you sometimes wonder if your teen might need some more support from other peers that probably also struggle with friends, peer pressure, anxiety, academic pressure, and self-confidence?
Teen groups can help!
In Step is offering a workshop where the dynamics of group therapy will be demystified and some of the power of the group process will be explained. Even if you know the group process will help, some of you probably wonder, “how am I going to get my teen to buy in?” Janene Pack, LMHC has experience working with teens from all backgrounds and experiences of life, and currently leads teen groups at In Step. Come with your questions and concerns and we will let you know what goes on in group, how it can help, and strategies to get your teen there!
This workshop is being offered on Saturday September 19th at Noon at our Fairfax office. The cost of this 90 minute session is $25 and space is limited.
Janene Pack, LMHC is a school counselor at the Burke School, a public day school for middle school students receiving special education services primarily due to emotional and/or behavioral needs.
